Its has been more than a week since this poll: https://www.patreon.com/posts/8146806 and I think that's enough time to start drawing some conclusions.
First of all that I am a bit sad/disappointed that the demand for more wrestling content is so low. The wrestling holds are not exactly easy to animate. In fact, they are more difficult than sex positions because of all the intricate locking of limbs and various body parts.
Now, I am not sure if this is because the game already had enough wrestling content and people wanted to see more of other stuff or its because wrestling itself is a small niche. Either way, the signal I am getting is that people want to see more of non-wrestling content, and that will be the focus from now (correct me if I'm wrong).
More futa content is by far the most voted for thing. To this end, the majority of the 6th girl's holds will be futa-to-female moves (around 6). In addition, the next patch shall have RNGed futa girls for the futa fans AND open sandal for the Foot Clan.
I have some ideas on how to implement female-to-futa moves but that will have to come at a later time due to many difficulties associated with them. The demand for futa-to-futa moves is rather low but I can certainly do a couple when the time comes.
There is a public mirror poll in the blog (http://enlit3d.blogspot.com) as well and the result is very similar, except that there is a much stronger demand for female-female moves. Now, because blogspot polls are less reliable than Patreon polls (no guarantee that 1 person = 1 vote) I am not sure how significant this difference is. It could be that futa-fans are more likely to be supportive? Either way, fear not, there will be a non-futa version of Nyaa-Chan as well to make the yuri fans happy :).
I guess futa fans have the deepest wallets and loudest voices, huh? Ah well. You've been doing wonderfully so far, Enlit, and I have faith in your ability as a developer.

DeleteThe problem with blogspot poll is that I am worried about foulplay. It doesnt make sense to me why the demand for female-female is so much higher here. The game have way more yuri content than futa so its not like the game have a huge futa audience. Not all the Patreons are futa fans either. Hmm...
female on female and female ON futa is most welcome for me.
ReplyDeleteI'm fine with whatever you put in, I just didn't vote on more wrestling stuff because I felt that there was plenty of wrestling content SO FAR. When the game gets closer to the final product, I would want more wrestling content. Wrestling is a good decision for this type of game, you weren't wrong.
ReplyDeleteshame, there really aren't any other games with this level of wrestling content out there in this genre. i guess it was only a matter of time before everyone started to want dicks on everything though. happens with every game.

ReplyDeleteThere are a ton of futa/yuri games out there, and games that remind you of Ultimate Surrender number about... 1? maybe (thinking of ultimate fighting girl which isn't quite the same)
Indeed, but it seems that the reality of the matter is that wrestling audience is very small. The poll being at 21% is very telling - you expect a much higher demand in a dev blog about a wrestling game.

Well, I would like to think that in the end, the wrestling moves and holds are actually part and parcel to the game in general... so I would actually expect and be happy to more wrestling moves show up with each new character... since it is a wrestling game.
DeleteThe post fight humiliation/sex abuse segment is nice but sometimes goes a little too long unless you force the computer to cut to the chase and just pin so as to try again.
So while I didn't vote for more wrestling moves, it was with the understanding in my mind (to try and rationalize it) that I was voting for what extras I wanted... not to continue endorsing what was in my mind core game play.
keep the wrestling theme in my opinion, this is what got me here in thefirst place, sex moves are a plus for me but I would love to see more wrestling holds
ReplyDeleteFor me it was a bit unclear about what you meant for more wrestling stuff. I voted on most of the other things thinking it is part of the wrestling, only well the moves are more lewd than normal wrestling. When I saw this project, the first thing that came to my mind was "Ultimate Surrender", if you dont know its basically a wrestling porn where girls finger/touch each other while being submitted and not try to break each others joints.
