Screen Shake

Implemented screen/camera shake in game now to make hits feel more impactful. Effect is rather subtle so its difficult to show via pictures or video, but the effect will be there in the next patch!

Been pondering about this, suppose that there is a 1vX mode, should grapples be interruptable? If a character is performing a move on enemy A, should the enemy B, whom is free to act, be able to interrupt that move and free his friend, enemy A? In the same notion, what about just grabbing the enemy, should it be treated the same way?

I am leaning towards interruptible grabs, but uninterruptible moves (submission/humil/throw/H-moves). What does everyone think?

  1. For the grappling, I think a heavy strike will knock both down, otherwise a normal punch will damage the enemy of the 3rd party.

    So,
    Girl A has Girl B in a hold
    Girl C is on Girl A's team
    Girl C makes a normal punch
    Girl B is hit but the hold is not interrupted
    Girl C does a special attack
    Girl A and B are knocked down (Depends on if friendly fire is applicable)

    Maybe for grapples, just make it act like a special attack.

    1. Agh, bad typing, when Girl A and B are knocked down, if friendly fire is a thing, Girl A and B are injured, otherwise it's just Girl B.

  2. I would say that the third girl interupting could possibly help increase the chance to escape/window of opportunity to get out... so a really good hold or H-move might still take a while to break but the other girl could be helping pry it off.

  3. Hmm. interruptible grabs but uninterruptible moves sounds sensible to me.
    I dunno, it would be rather hard to manage to land any moves at all when you go 1v3 or something and they're interruptible

  4. Perhaps make the girl who is on the receiving end of an H move be able to get help from her teammates in the form of them speeding up the rate in which she escapes? Something similar might work too, but I would find it strange that you can interrupt grapples, but not H moves.

  5. You could make it difficulty dependent. Uninterruptible moves with interruptible grabs makes more fair game play but less sense irl logic, like my ally is getting her brains f-ed out, let me watch.
